Over November and December of 2018, I completed a legal internship through the Aurora Internship Program. The Aurora Project works to place university students and recent graduates in Indigenous organisations in the areas of legal services, anthropology and other social sciences.

I returned to Australia in 2018 for my final year in law after spending a month interning at a firm in Malaysia that specialised in native title. I really enjoyed my experience there, and was looking for more opportunities in that field that I could get into.
In February 2018, I undertook an Aurora Internship in my hometown of Adelaide. Aurora is an organisation that supports Indigenous organisations and facilitates opportunities for students and graduates to gain practical experience within the indigenous sector.
When I applied for the Aurora Internship Program, I had already completed my undergraduate degree and I was awaiting an admission into the Honours program in anthropology. I was at a point in my career where it was necessary to ascertain some guiding principles moving forward.
Over the summer period of 2017/2018, I undertook a legal internship through the Aurora Internship Program.
