Through the Aurora Project, I undertook an internship with NTSCORP’s legal team from late November to late December 2018.
I completed an Aurora Native Title Internship in the Strategic Development Unit of NTSCORP Limited (NTSCORP) from Monday 2 July to Friday 27 July 2018.
I have been passionate about Indigenous issues since I was first exposed to NAIDOC Week when I was in primary school. Over time I have been aware of some of the issues that were impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
With international travel and voluntourism filling the bucket lists of many young Australians, our own (very big) backyard can be the last place many of us look for new and enriching experiences.
I completed an Aurora internship in the Strategic Development Unit of NTSCORP Limited from Monday 9 January to Friday 10 February 2017. NTSCORP is the Native Title Service Provider for Traditional Owners in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.
I was placed as an intern via the Aurora Internship Program with the NTSCORP legal team from mid January to late February 2017.
During the winter of 2016, I was fortunate enough to undertake two internships via the Aurora Internship Program. For my first, I was placed with Aboriginal Legal Services NSW/ACT (ALS) and for the second, with NTSCORP.
Over July, while many of my fellow students at Sydney Law School embarked on the perennial winter exodus to the fairer shores of Europe, I kept jumping on the 8 o’clock train to Redfern.
