My second placement was with Barrister Andrew Collett in my hometown of Adelaide. For the first three weeks of my placement I was predominately assisting Andrew with his final submissions for the Goolarabooloo native title claim.
We all know practical experience is an important addition to a law degree, in particular for those of us wanting to practice law.
Over the summer period of 2017/2018, I undertook a legal internship through the Aurora Internship Program.
In February 2018, I undertook an Aurora Internship in my hometown of Adelaide. Aurora is an organisation that supports Indigenous organisations and facilitates opportunities for students and graduates to gain practical experience within the indigenous sector.
Over November and December of 2018, I completed a legal internship through the Aurora Internship Program. The Aurora Project works to place university students and recent graduates in Indigenous organisations in the areas of legal services, anthropology and other social sciences.
