Last summer while you were all sipping lattes and skipping in the sunshine, I was interning with the Aurora Native Title Internship Program which focuses on native title and Indigenous Affairs.
Unlike most, I started off my new year with an Aurora internship at Terri Janke and Company (TJC) in Sydney as part of the Aurora Internship Program.
Apart from the odd day here and there, I haven’t really travelled on my own before. So when I left Perth for the big smoke (Sydney), admittedly I felt a little nervous. How would I find my way around in such a big city? How much will the bus cost? Where do I even catch the bus from?
I consider myself very fortunate to have received a fully funded Commonwealth Jobs, Land and Economy Program (JLEP), Indigenous scholarship to undertake an internship via the Aurora Internship Program.
Over summer I had the opportunity to spend 6 weeks interning at Terri Janke and Company, through a placement organized by the Aurora Internship Program. Terri Janke and Co is a small law practice that specializes in Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP), IP and business law.
Over the summer of 2018 I was fortunate enough to be invited to Sydney to experience a 6 week Aurora internship with Terri Janke and Company.
I completed an Aurora Internship during my 2018 mid-year holidays. I was fortunate enough to be placed Terri Janke & Company in Sydney. The experience was invaluable from both a personal perspective and in relation to my ongoing professional development.
