From November to December 2018, I was given the opportunity to take part in an Aurora Internship at the Aboriginal Legal Service in Wollongong for approximately 5 weeks. The Internship has been the most rewarding experience offered to me during my time at university.
“The heart of any sound relationship involves a level of respect and understanding of each culture, lifestyle and very existence, it includes respect for and defence of each others basic human rights.” – Dodson 1987
My six weeks with the ALS in Wollongong as part of the Aurora Internship Program had a far greater impact on me than I expected.
In the middle of 2016, I had the opportunity to undertake an Aurora internship via the Aurora Internship Program with the Aboriginal Legal Service (ALS) in Wollongong.
If you ask any law student why they initially decided to undertake a law degree I can almost guarantee that their answer will include one of the words "justice", "equality" or "anti-discrimination."
Over the past four weeks I have been given the opportunity to intern at the Aboriginal Legal Service (ALS) in Wollongong through the Aurora Internship Project.
