Over the summer break of 2018, after stressful and intensive cramming for our end of year exams, I embarked on an adventure. It was a calling back to country for me.
Over the summer holidays I was very fortunate to complete an Aurora Internship with Just Reinvest NSW, a non-for-profit organisation that advocates for the adoption of justice reinvestment in NSW.
For five weeks over June – July I was privileged to undertake an Aurora internship with the Northern Territory Government’s Aboriginal Justice Unit, which operates under the Department of Attorney-General and Justice.
Over the winter break, I had the opportunity to travel up to Darwin to do a four-week Aurora internship with the Aboriginal Justice Unit (AJU) of the Northern Territory Government’s Department of Attorney-General and Justice.
