I started my internship in ALS Care & Protection optimistic, but not certain of what I would be in for.
During my time completing my first Aurora internship with the Maranguka Just Reinvest Project in Bourke I knew that engaging with an internship through the Aurora Internship Program was something special.
When the email about the Aurora Internship hit my university inbox back in July, I knew I had to at least submit an application. After living in remote outback Queensland and then embarking on my Juris Doctor, I knew I wanted to use my law degree to assist Indigenous people.
I applied for the Aurora Internship Program with the goal of using and developing my legal skills while benefiting the Indigenous community and learning more about Indigenous life, perspectives and culture in Australia.
