After having a fantastic Aurora internship experience in Darwin in July 2016, I could not wait to gain more practical legal experience in the Indigenous sector.
What attracted you to this role?
Last summer, I was fortunate enough to be selected for the Aurora Internship Program. Aurora places students and graduates at organisations working in native title, Indigenous affairs, policy development and social justice. I was placed at Jumbunna Indigenous House of Learning for six weeks.
We really enjoyed our Aurora internships at Jumbunna Indigenous House of Learning’s Research Unit as part of the Aurora Internship Program.
The Aurora Native Title Internship Program is a fantastic opportunity for law students and graduates interested in gaining some experience in the areas of Indigenous affairs, social justice, and native title.
This summer I undertook a 6-week internship with the Research Unit at Jumbunna: Indigenous House of Learning at UTS.
My time at Jumbunna: Indigenous House of Learning at UTS was intellectually stimulating, challenging and always interesting.
