This past summer I was privileged enough to have taken part in the Aurora Internship Program. The Program places students, or recent graduates like myself, with native title or other Indigenous sector organisations across Australia for 4-6 weeks.
As a psychology student, I am aware that experience in the field is critical for both personal and professional development and this is why I began thinking about completing an internship with Aurora.
I recently undertook an Aurora internship placement with the First Peoples Health Unit (FPHU) on the Gold Coast. FPHU’s work is varied and dynamic.
